Winfar Surgical offers a variety of wheelchairs enabling our clients who are physically challenged, and/or disabled, to regain their independence. Considering our customer’s needs, age, weight and price range, our well trained staff will recommend the appropriate wheelchair for you. Whether it’s just an entry level Basic Wheelchair you need or something more specialized, Winfar can offer you quality for your comfort.
All of our wheelchairs fold up to fit the boot of your car which makes travelling and storage easier.
We pride ourselves on offering a back-up service with our Wheelchairs. We import most of the spares for our wheelchairs and we have an On-site Wheelchair repair service. In most cases, we are able to repair the chairs on the same day while you wait.
There is a 12 month guarantee on the structure of the wheelchairs – All our wheelchairs have CE and ISO 9001 Certification.

Manual Models
- Kiddies Lightweight Wheelchairs in 12” (30cm) and 14” (35cm) seat widths.
- Adult Steel Wheelchairs in 16” (40cm) and 18” (45cm) seat widths.
- Adult Heavy-Duty Wheelchairs in 20” (50cm) and 22” (55cm) seat widths
- Adult Lightweight Wheelchairs in 16” (40cm) and 18” (45cm) seat widths
Footrest Options
- Fixed Footrests (in this case the footrests cannot swing away or be detached from the wheelchair) – the footplate can however be adjusted in height – This would be the ideal entry level Basic Wheelchair
- Detachable / Swing-away Footrests – This feature is useful if you want to prevent the user from knocking into the footrests when being seated in the wheelchair, or if boot space is limited.
Rear Wheel Options
- Our Lightweight chairs are fitted with 22” or 24” Pneumatic (inflatable tyres). At an additional cost we can fit Krypton tyres (Sold threaded tyres) so that you do not have the hassle of fixing punctures should they occur
- Our Steel chairs come with standard Solid 24” or 26” rear wheels
Front Castors
- Our Lightweight chairs are fitted with 6” or 8” solid front castors
- Our Steel chairs are fitted with 8” Solid front castors
